We are celebrating our 10th year as UUWH. Our gathering times are at 2:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month unless an alternate time is shown on the event.

Starting in July and going through August, we will be taking a summer break.

In September we will resume with Sunday services on the 2nd Sunday of each month and a Roundtable Discussion on the 4th Sunday of each month.

Group of People talking

You are welcome here.

If you are a Hawaiian resident, a part-timer (“snowbird”) or Big Island vacationer we welcome you!
We are a friendly, open-hearted and liberal Unitarian (UU) religious community. Our part-time UU minister leads one church service a month (2nd Sunday of each month) and a book discussion group on the 4th Sunday of each month. Our experienced members provide bonus activities.

"This is my community here on the Big Island -- we have a great minister, a wonderful meeting space, and friendly people. It sure helps when others share the 7 Principles, values of inclusion, and social action." -- Allen

Get to know us:

We are guided by Principles that interconnect us:

We respect the worth and dignity of all human beings;

We work toward peace, freedom, and justice for all;

We value the earth and the web of life that connects us all;

We yearn to learn throughout our lives and grow by exploring ideas and values together.

Some of us might be skeptical of organized religion, but still feel a spiritual longing for community and the need to connect with others who feel the same way.

Where people count -- and thinking is honored.

While we deeply value the wisdom of the ages, we search for truth and meaning in our own lives. We are guided by reason, intuition and our own experience.
